Two rocket attacks have targeted the lodges of courthouse and special operation police teams in Yüksekova district of Hakkari late Tuesday evening.

Clashes continue in Yüksekova since the funeral of 22 years old Seyithan Dede who was murdered by police during a protest demonstration in Nusaybin district of Mardin on July 26 night.

After the funeral, unidentified person(s) carried out two rocket attacks which targeted the police and courthouse lodges, upon which a short-lasting clash took place in the area of the police lodge in TOKİ (Housing Development Administration of Turkey) buildings.

While no information was immediately available as to whether the attacks have caused any casualties, a number of armored vehicles and teams of security forces, both police and soldiers, have been despatched to the lodges.
