Turkish army continues its drone reconnaissance flights over Medya Defense Zones.

In its statement, HPG Media Center said that Turkish drones flew over Avashin area and the borderline between 22:00 on July 21 and 05:30 on July 22, 10:00-15:00, and 20:00 - 22:00 on July 22.

Drones also carried out reconnaissance flights over Gare area between 03:30 – 04:30 on July 23, Zap region between 20:30 on July 22 and 01:30 on July 23, and Haftanin area between 11:30 - 19:30 on July 22.

Similar flights were carried out in Ağrı’s Tendürek and Eledağ regions between 23:00 on July 22 and 02:00 on July 23, Kars’ Demirkapı region between 23:00 on July 22 and 04:00 on July 23, Iğdır’s Kıre Kor region between 01:00 - 06:30 on July 23, and Bitlis’ Norşin region between 19:00 – 00:00 on July 22.

HPG reported that a ‘Bayraktar’ type Turkish drone flew over Haftanin area at a low altitude between 15:00 – 19:00 on July 22, and guerillas pushed the drone back by shooting at it with heavy weaponry. Turkish soldiers from the Tepê Meymun army post fired random shots at Şehit Kendal area and tanks bombarded the region in a similar fashion.

COBRA HELICOPTER ACTIVITY IN AMUSKA BASE

HPG Media Center stated that cobra helicopters and tanks operated around the Amuska Base located in Dersim’s Hozat district around 12:00 on July 22. Soldiers fired random shots with heavy weaponry and tanks bombarded the area around Amuska base, which caused a fire that has not yet been put out in the region. HPG said that the Turkish army carried out another operation near the village of Otlubahçe in Dersim’s Ovacık district, and the operation ended without achieving any results.

HPG announced that Turkish soldiers in civilian clothing laid ambushes in the Eleganê and Gola Kozo areas of Ağrı’s Dambat region on July 22 during the afternoon, and the army has been making intensive military deployments to the Şemali base located in Muş over the past three days.
