PUK official exposes MIT-KDP cooperation

Eta Serawi, from the executive board of PUK, said that the Turkish Intelligence Agency, MIT, is monitoring areas under the guerrilla control in Zînî Wertê, along with a force affiliated to the KDP. Serawi shared images to support his claim.

Eta Serawi from the executive board of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) spoke to RojNews about the relations between the KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) and the Turkish Intelligence Agency, MIT.

Serawi remarked that the KDP went to Zînî Wertê to fight PUK and PKK,saying: "They had decided to fight against us and the PKK. However, we and the PKK frustrated their attempts. As a result of our co-persidency and the efforts of our brothers and sisters from PKK, the plan put forward by the KDP and the Turkish MIT was prevented from being successful."

Serawi continued: "The Helgurt forces command under the KDP monitors the regions where PKK guerrillas are stationed during the day and pass on information to Turkish MIT. At night Turkish warplanes bomb the spots indicated."

According to Serawi, who supported his claims with a video document, the images were taken in a village in the region of Wertê. Serawi pointed out that the two white vehicles in the images belong to MIT and that these vehicles were seen the day before the air attack on Zînî Wertê by the Turkish state on 15 April.
