Protests in Sulaymaniyah continue on second day

Şirîn Emîn, a deputy of the Gorran Movement, was injured on the second day of the protests in Sulaymaniyah.

Protests against unpaid salaries, economic situation and administration system of the Kurdistan Region continue today in front of Sara Gate in Sulaymaniyah. Police and security personnel attacked demonstrators with tear gas to disperse the crowds in the area. 

A deputy of Gorran (Change) Movement in the Kurdistan Region Parliament, Şirin Emin was injured in an attack of the security forces. Independent MP Sirwan Babin was also present at the demonstration.

Many activists, protesters and journalists were injured because of the tear gas used. Many teachers and activists, whose numbers are unknown, were detained.
