Protestors set Iraqi Turkmen Front’s building on fire

A group of youths in Pirdê town near Kirkuk, set Iraqi Turkmen Front’s local office on fire, Roj News Agency reported.

Speaking to Rojnews, Egid Bestun, a security official from Pirdê, said that a group of youths attacked Iraqi Turkmen Front’s local office in the town Thursday morning. The group then set the office on fire.

Bestun also said that Hashd al-Shaabi forces were a couple of kilometres away from Pirdê, while peshmerga forces were positioned in the vicinity of the town.

“There are occurring clashes between peshmerga forces and Hasdh al-Shaabi from time to time. Today peshmergas destroyed a vehicle of the Hashd al-Shaabi militia. The situation in the town is calm. There is no disorder among the people in Pirdê.”
