The programme of the conference in Amed on 2-3 May to discuss problems and solutions regarding the reconstruction of Kobanê has been announced. The conference is being organised by the Kobanê Canton administration and will be supported and hosted jointly by the Amed Municipality, Amed Chamber of Trade and Industry, the Congress of Free Women (KJA), Amed Medical Association, TMMOB Amed branch, Amed Bar Association and Amed branch of the Human Rights Association (IHD).

The call for the conference was issued by the Kobanê Canton PM Enwer Müslim. The conference will take place in the Theatre Hall of the Amed Municipality under the slogan: “The Reconstruction of Kobanê is reclaiming the values of humanity” on 2-3 May.

Two panels will be held at the conference under the title: “Social and political results of the Kobanê war” and “Assessment of the physical conditions of Kobanê and solutions for its reconstruction”.  The keynote speakers at the conference will be Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair, Hatip Dicle, PYD co-chair Asya Abdullah, Kobanê Canton Co-President Enwer Müslim and Amed co-mayor Fırat Anlı. The participants will discuss solutions for the problems in the rebuilding the city on the basis of reports to be presented at the conference.
