Police forces blockaded the Yafes neighborhood of Şırnak's Cizre district and rained bullets on the neighborhood from armored vehicles deployed on the orbital road, which left a woman dead.

53-year-old Meryem Süme, mother of seven, got wounded by a bullet that hit her in the belly as she sat outside her house.

The woman remained at the scene for hours as police didn't allow access to ambulances into the neighborhood, which caused her death from blood of lose. The woman is still being held in the garden of her house.

Süme has been the ninth person to be killed by police since September 4.
