Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) says Turkish government response to the unilateral ceasefire may pave the way for a peaceful solution to the Kurdish Question.
In a statement to mark the 26th anniversary of the start of armed struggle against Turkey, PKK's frame organization Kurdistan Communities Congress (KCK) said the ceasefire is a chance for a peaceful solution and called on the government for a positive response.
KCK statement underlined that "democratic autonomy" is the only formula to solve the Kurdish Question and warned the Turkish government that it will take unilateral steps to form autonomies in Kurdish areas.
KCK also said that the declaration of ceasefire came after Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan's request.
Yesterday PKK declared a ceasefire that will last on September 20.
