Turkish Prosecutor is burying the bodies of PKK guerrillas in a cemetery of nameless rather than releasing them to their families.
Siirt Public Prosecutor’s Office who did not give the bodies of 8 of the 10 PKK guerrillas who lost their lives in the clashes that took place in Pervari district decided the bodies to be buried in the cemetery of nameless. The burial would have happened last night in Siirt.
Bodies of 2 guerrillas who had lost their lost in the same clash were given their families yesterday. Because the other 8 bodies were destroyed and burnt the families could not identify and the Prosecutor’s Office asked for a DNA test. While the families are still waiting in front of the hospital for DNA results and sleeping in tents at night the Public Prosecutor decided burial of the bodies in a cemetery of nameless. Under the Turkish law the Prosecutor has to wait 15 days before giving such a decision.
It is reported that upon the order from the prosecutor the bodies were prepared in two different hospitals in Siirt.
