People’s Defence Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported in a written statement that the Turkish army carried out reconnaissance flights over Çarçella and Avashin areas of Medya Defence Zones and launched an operation with a large numbers of armoured vehicles aerially supported by Cobra type helicopters in Eruh district of Siirt.

HPG Press Office gave the following information regarding the drone activities of the Turkish air forces:

-Over Çarçella and Avashin areas at between 14:30 on 10 July and 10: 00 on 11 July

-Over Zap region and the border line at between 14:00 - 23:00 on 10 July,

-Over the southern area of Muş province at between 08:00 - 19:00 on 10 July,

-Over Yayladere area of Bingöl at between 15:00 on 10 July and 04:00 on 11 July,

-Over Martyr Şiyar area of Göle district of Ardahan at between 22:00 on 10 July and 09:00 on 11 July.

HPG further reported flights of Turkish war planes over Martyr Baran area of Farqin district of Amed at between 19:00 on 10 July and 04:00 on 11 July.

HPG also informed that the TepêSirya military post in Eruh district of Siirt accelerated the works for the construction of new security roads and check points starting on from 05:30 on 11 July, despite the previous warnings of the guerrilla forces against such works. HPG said guerrilla forces carried out a warning action by setting fire to 4 trucks of the Turkish army carrying the construction material.

The statement added that the Turkish military launched an extensive operation in the area with armoured vehicles supported from air by Cobra type helicopters following the warning action of the guerrilla forces.

HPG lastly reported that Turkish soldiers opened random fire on the area around Eriş military post in Çukurca district of Hakkari at between 21:00 - 22:00 on 10 July.
