HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press and Communication Centre has released a statement regarding the ongoing activities of the Turkish military.

According to the statement, an activity of Turkish warplanes took place over Kandil region of Medya Defense Zones between 14:00 and 14:30 on 24 May and between 07:00 - 07:30 on 25 May (today), as well as over Metina region between 22:00 - 23:00 yesterday.

On the other hand, Turkish UAVs carried out reconnaissance flights over the border line of Xakurke region in Medya Defense Zones between 16:00 – 18:00 on 23 May.

On 24 May, Turkish troops deployed at Oremar guard post in Yüksekova district of Hakkari carried out a bombardment which targeted the Şehit (Martyr) Bager area at the border of Avashin region of Medya Defense Zones at 17:30. The attack of the Turkish army was responded by guerrillas with a warning fire.

Again on 24 May, Turkish troops launched an operation after encircling the Orman region of Sarıkamış district of Kars early in the morning, HPG said, adding that ambushes have also been laid in the area of the operation.

HPG reported that Turkish soldiers also laid ambushes around the village of Kızıl Çubuk in Sarıkamış district in the morning of 24 May, as well as in the area of Hill Kewê Spî in Ecema village of Ağrı's Doğubeyazıt district at 01:30 on 25 May.

The statement added that Turkish drones performed reconnaissance flights over the Sigena area of Ağrı province between 09:30 - 12:00 today.
