One minute against military operations

The BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) is to launch a new campaign today. The campaign is called ‘Operation for Peace’ and its aim is to protest against the ongoing military operations carried out by the Turkish Army Forces (TSK). The BDP will adopting a famous saying used by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan: “One Minute”.

The BDP is going to say “One Minute” against TSK’s armed operation in the region. The campaign begins the day after the march in Diyarbakir today.

The campaign will last one month.

The Peace Operation promoted by the BDP will be concentrating on the city of Lice. On a separate occasion a committee including 50 mothers of soldiers and guerrillas will visit Cizre-Sirnak on May 19. The mothers will hold a sit-in action at the same time in which soldiers are taking part in the military operations.
