New provocation attempt by the KDP against the PKK

It came out that the KDP sent an official letter to the checkpoints on the Soran border, inciting provocation against the PKK.

The Checkpoints Asayish (Public Order Forces) Centre sent an official letter to the checkpoints on the border of Soran district in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, seeking to incite provocation against the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party).

The document, obtained by Rojnews news agency, said, “The PKK traitors intend to burn the Quran in the border areas of Duhok, mainly in refugee camps, with the aim of disrupting the security of the Kurdistan Region through their two officers named Gelhat and Cudi. For this purpose, they are bringing the Quran from the Shengal district to the Duhok province. Carry out a detailed investigation and research on the subject.”

The KDP's provocation is considered as an attempt to reverse the blow it suffered in the Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections by burning the Quran, the holy book of Islam, and trying to blame it on the PKK.
