A new operation has been started today with the use of great military forces consisting of special units in Yüksekova/Hakkari.

Helicopters taking off from Yüksekova 21. Border Gendarme Brigade Commandership, have been used to deploy soldiers in Yukarýölçek (Tilorana Seri), Aþaðýölçek (Tilorana Bini), Kuçe, Pira Kaporti and Ýspiriz regions of Yüksekova by 10.00 am. at local time.

It has been stated that the large scale operation was started on the grounds that there are HPG (People Defence Forces) guerrillas in the region.
