New Generation Movement leader Shaswar Abdulwahid has been taken into custody in Sulaymaniyah.

New Generation Movement leader Shaswar Abdulwahid has been taken into custody at Sulaymaniyah Airport on his arrival in the city from London Tuesday evening.

Abdulwahid was facing an arrest warrant issued by acting judge Jawad Fatah Agha earlier today on the grounds that he incited protest demonstrations in Southern Kurdistan.
