Nasir Yagiz hospitalized on day 73 of hunger strike

Health conditions of Kurdish hunger strikers are worsening.

Nasir Yagiz who has been on indefinite hunger strike in Hewler for 73 days, has been taken to hospital. Yagiz, like hundreds of other Kurds on hunger strike in Turkey, Kurdistan, Europe and beyond, demands an end to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Experiencing deteriorating health conditions at 21:00 local time Friday evening, Yagiz was taken to Par Hospital. After he refused to be given serum, he is being through an examination now.

Following the medical examination, Yagiz is expected to return to the HDP Representation Office in Hewler where he carries out his protest, to continue his resistance.
