Maxmur people protest against Turkish attacks and KDP collaboration

Thousands of people gathered in the Maxmur refugee camp in southern Kurdistan to protest against Turkish invasion attacks and KDP collaboration.

Thousands of people gathered in the self-administered refugee camp Şehîd Rustem Cudi (Maxmur) on Tuesday to protest against the Turkish attacks on the Medya Defense Zones, the attacks on Shengal and the collaboration of South Kurdistan’s ruling party KDP with Turkish fascism.

"The resistance of the people and the guerrillas will win"

At the demonstration, Maxmur People's Council co-chair Filiz Budak said that the Turkish state wants to "celebrate" its centenary by destroying the Kurdish identity and in this sense has launched a new attempt to occupy Kurdistan and the Medya Defense Zones. She further said, "The AKP calls itself Muslim, but attacks a force that defends its people during Ramadan.

As it is known, the holy festival of the Yazidi people will take place tomorrow. The Iraqi army has been attacking the Shengal region since last night. The Iraqi state opens all ways for the Turkish state to attack Shengal and Maxmur. In this process, the KDP is the accomplice of the Turkish state. The Roj mercenaries, the Gulan and Zerevan units have been deployed in the Medya Defense Zones, paving the way for the Turkish army.

Meanwhile, in Northern Kurdistan, village guards who are supposed to commit massacres against their own people are being rounded up at the borders. However, there is no doubt that a dictatorial force cannot stand in the way of the resistance of a people, the resistance of guerrillas. The Kurdish people, who want freedom, will achieve victory. The line of colonialism, fascism and treason will be defeated. This is what we will see in the 21st century."
