Maxmur hunger striker: We are determined as on the first day

Fadile Tok from the Ishtar Women's Council of Maxmur has been on a hunger strike for 40 days to demand an end to the isolation of Kurdish leader Öcalan. "We are determined and strong as on the first day," she tells.

In the southern Kurdistan refugee camp Şehîd Rustem Cûdî in Maxmur, an alternating hunger strike has been held for 70 days to demand an end to the isolation of the Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Fadile Tok from the Ishtar Women's Council of Maxmur has been on an indefinite hunger strike for 40 days against the isolation. Tok greets Abdullah Öcalan and hunger strikers Leyla Güven, Nasır Yağız, and all the other activists participating in the campaign, warning that the health of Güven and Yağız, as well as the hunger strikers in Strasbourg and prisons, continues to deteriorate.

However, the resistance will be successful, emphasizes Tok and continues: "Because our resistance is the resistance of peoples and the century. We started the action in the spirit of July 14, the resistance of Hayri, Kemal, Ali, Mazlum. We get our strength from the resistance fighters in the prisons, from Leyla and Nasir. Therefore, we are always resolute and in good morale. We are determined and strong as on the first day. As our action is so valuable and honorable, we will not be hampered by any health problems in our struggle."

At the end of her speech, Tok called everyone to hear the voice of the hunger strikers.
