Hundreds of people from Qamishlo, Tirbespiyê and Amûdê cities of Cizire Canton in North-East Syria left for the Tishrin Dam in the morning to join the vigil against attacks and occupation attempts by the occupying Turkish state and allied mercenaries.
The convoy reached the site of the vigil that has been going on for 10 days, welcomed by those taking part in the protest action.
Despite the genocidal attacks by the occupying Turkish state, people from across North-East Syria continue the vigil at Tishrin Dam with determination and persistence.
The people of North and East Syria have been holding a vigil at the Tishrin Dam for 10 days against invasion attacks by the Turkish army and allied Syrian National Army (SNA) mercenaries. The mobilisation came after the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria urged international forces and institutions to stop the attacks by the Turkish state, and called on the people to take action to protect the dam and support the resisting fighters.
The invading forces have attacked the area 7 times so far, leaving many dead and wounded. The attacks were directed against civilians who are taking part in the vigil action in the area to defend their territory alongside the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Women's Defense Units (YPJ).
