The Turkish army has launched an operation this morning in the Tutak district of Ağrı. The local people are flocking to the area to act as human shields against the operation.

The military activity of the Turkish army has recently increased in the Serhad region where the Tendürek provocation also took place last month. Following the operation in the village of Geventepe (Reşa Sebrî), 30 km from the Karayazı district of Erzurum, a new operation has been started by the Turkish military in Qertavin (Kartavin) village in the Tutak district of Agri. Intense military deployment has been carried out with armoured vehicles early this morning to the area between Karayazı, Patnos and Tutak, while local people have started to flock to the area to act as human shields. 

In the meantime, reports are coming through about intense aerial activity of Turkish warplanes and reconnaissance flights over Malazgirt district of Mus.
