Kurdistan Region Vice President Qubad Talabani said that Abullah Öcalan has once again opened the door to peace and a democratic solution, and added that everyone must fulfill their responsibilities for the peace process to progress.
Kurdistan Region Vice President Qubad Talabani made a statement following Abullah Öcalan’s historic call on Thursday.
Talabani said that the Kurdish people have always been in favor of peace, and added that they had to wage their struggle to protect their rights at gunpoint.
Talabani said: "Mr. Abdullah Öcalan has once again opened the door to peace and a democratic solution to the Kurdish question. A new process has begun in the political struggle of the Kurds in Turkey. Our wish and demand is that this time the process be completed with a positive result for the Kurdish people and Turkey, and that the parties build a life together on the foundations of truth."
Kubat Talabani underlined that everyone must support Leader Öcalan’s message and fulfill their responsibilities for the peace process to progress.
