In a written statement on the 10th anniversary of the ISIS onslaught in Shengal (Sinjar), KONGRA-GEL Co-Presidency Council said, "On the 10th anniversary of the 3 August genocide, we strongly condemn ISIS gangs and their main collaborators Erdoğan and Barzani family. The people of Kurdistan will never forget this massacre."

KONGRA-GEL expressed condolences to the families and relatives of those who were massacred during the 3 August genocide, the people of Shenhal and all the people of Kurdistan and said: "Especially the women and children who are still missing are a great wound of our people. It is the conscientious duty of entire humanity to find and rescue them."

The KONGRA-GEL statement includes the following: "On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the genocide, let us respectfully commemorate all our martyrs, the PKK guerrillas who came to the aid of the people of Shengal at lightning speed, who were martyred while protecting the Yazidi people against the ISIS massacre. We promise once again that independent and free Shengal will always live in line with their goals.

The Turkish state, the Barzani family and ISIS formed an alliance within the framework of a grand plan to defeat the 'Free Kurds' during the Third World War. The first step in their plan was to defeat Shengal, the second was to defeat the Rojava Revolution, and the third step was to defeat the PKK Movement in general.

In the first step, the Barzanis' party acted in line with this plan from the beginning to the end, in order to defeat Shengal and make the Yazidi genocide a success. They left the people of Shengal unarmed and defenceless against the attacks of ISIS and fled Shengal.

However, as it is known, Leader Apo's [Abdullah Öcalan’s] bouncers did not leave the people of Shengal alone. They stopped the genocide with a great struggle. The defeat of ISIS in Shengal made the first step of the Turkish state and Barzani's plan fail.

As in the first step, the plans of the Turkish state and Barzani in the second step have not succeeded so far. In the face of the Rojava Revolution, the Turkish state, Barzani and the ISIS alliance suffered a great defeat.

In order not to be completely defeated, this immoral alliance against the 'Free Kurd' wants to complete the third step of its plans through comprehensive attacks on the people of Southern Kurdistan and the freedom guerrillas, Shengal and Maxmur.

Just as they failed in the first and second steps, they will fail in the third. However, this time the failure of the Turkish state, Barzani and ISIS alliance will bring great gains to the people of the four parts of Kurdistan. Because the failure of this plan is the failure of the Turkish state's occupation policy, the failure of the Barzani family's line of betrayal.

Our people in Shengal are building the social revolution system with the paradigm of Leader Apo through the arms of the democratic nation. We congratulate the social revolution of Shengal and wish them success.

Protest actions are being held everywhere due to the 10th anniversary of the 3 August genocide. Our people should participate in the mass actions on 3 August wherever they live. Let us unite against the betrayal of the Barzanis and the occupation of the Turkish state."
