KCK: The murderous AKP will be ended

KCK: On the 7th year of Sara’s martyrdom, the Kurdish Freedom Movement will develop the struggle further and end the AKP government that ordered the January 9 massacre.

Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council Co-presidency issued a written statement on the 6th anniversary of the Paris Massacre and said, “Today there is an ongoing struggle under the lead of the Women’s Freedom Movement everywhere the Kurds live to defeat fascism and break the isolation imposed upon Leader Apo. This struggle led by women heralds great efforts to come in 2019.”

The KCK Executive Council Co-presidency statement is as follows: “6 years ago, by direct orders from the AKP government, founding PKK cadre Sakine Cansiz, European Kurdish diplomatic officer Fidan Dogan and youth movement member Leyla Saylemez were murdered in the middle of Paris. This massacre was part of the Sri Lanka style elimination attacks against the Kurdish Freedom Movement. Our murdered friends’ desire for freedom will be realized, and all enemies of Kurds will be defeated.

“AKP GOVERNMENT LAUNCHED A SOLUTION PROCESS WHEN FACED WITH COLLAPSE”

The genocidal and colonialist Turkish state relaunched their annihilation attacks against the Kurdish people’s struggle for freedom and democracy in the summer of 2011 through an isolation imposed upon Leader Apo. These annihilation attacks also targeted the PKK administration to achieve results. Because they knew they couldn’t achieve that in the freedom mountains, they targeted Comrade Sakine, who was responsible for efforts in Europe, and the comrades who were with her at the time. MIT Undersecretary Hakan Fidan planned the massacre under orders from the then-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and a MIT operative named Omer Guney was tasked with the murders. The Paris Massacre turned out to be the last attack in the annihilation policy of 2011 and 2012, during which time the state had decided to use any and all methods of dirty war. The AKP government, wishing to disband the Kurdish Freedom Movement through the Sri Lanka model, launched a no-conflict period when they came face to face with collapse. Leader Apo started a democratic solution process as required by his respect for all martyrs to realize their longing for peace. Lacking any democratic character, Tayyip Erdogan and the AKP then launched another annihilation attack against the Kurdish Freedom Movement with the isolation imposed upon Leader Ocalan on April 5, like back in 2011.

In these 3.5 years when cities were burned down, hundreds of civilians were killed and any and all methods of dirty war were used to attack the Kurdish people’s struggle for freedom, the PKK administration was targeted in the same way Sakine Cansiz had been. The US has encouraged the Turkish state’s attacks to this end with the decision they issued about the leading cadres. But, despite having attacked with all their resources for 3.5 years, the AKP-MHP government has met a resistance that will end their rule. The spirit of resistance Sakine Cansiz displayed in the Diyarbakir Prison has awakened everywhere today. With the spirit of dungeon resistances, the You Can’t Blacken Our Sun resistance, the self governance resistances and the vanguard spirit of the Afrin resistance have joined together to put forth a historic resistance against the colonialist and genocidal AKP-MHP fascism. These resistances will prevail, with the proud will of Sakine Cansiz and her comrades.

On the 7th year of Sara’s martyrdom, the Kurdish Freedom Movement that has become invincible through the Women’s Freedom Movement which has grown with great effort and leadership by Sakine Cansiz and others will develop the struggle further and end the AKP government that ordered the January 9 massacre. A Free Kurdistan that Comrade Sakine believed in at all times throughout her struggle for freedom and a Democratic Turkey will be realized.

A struggle adorned with the spirit of women’s freedom will overcome any obstacles and achieve its goals, whatever hardships it may face. Hegemony, colonialism and power cannot be prolonged where a struggle is waged with the spirit of women’s freedom. The Kurdish Freedom Movement has made itself invincible through the spirit of women’s freedom and continues the struggle despite any and all hardships and attacks, pulling a free and democratic life ever closer. The passion for freedom Sara (Sakine Cansiz), Rojbin (Fidan Dogan) and Ronahi (Leyla Saylemez) had and their legacy to us orders us to develop the struggle further in 2019.

Today there is an ongoing struggle under the lead of the Women’s Freedom Movement in prisons, on the streets and everywhere the Kurds live to defeat fascism and break the isolation imposed upon Leader Apo. This struggle led by women heralds great efforts to come in 2019. On this basis, we are calling on Kurdish women and youth, and the whole of the peoples of Kurdistan as well as all allies to raise the struggle and defeat the AKP-MHP fascism, to realize a Free Kurdistan and a Democratic Turkey.”
