Jaysh al-Thuwar responds to Turkish-backed gangs in Shehba

Jaysh al-Thuwar fighters responded to the Turkish-backed gangs that attacked Rojava's Shehba region yesterday. 4 members of the gangs were killed and 11 others were wounded during clashes.

Gangs affiliated with the invading Turkish army attacked Rojava's Shehba region and villages in Efrîn Canton yesterday with the ultimate goal of invasion.

The first wave of attacks on Shehba region was carried out at around 14:00 in the afternoon. The bombardment targeted the Tishrîn Dam and the villages of Wehşiye, Til Medîq, Qol Sirûc and Simoqiyê, and damaged civilian settlements.

The second wave of the aggression was conducted at 22:00 at night, in which the villages of Wehşiyê, Şeale, Til Cîcan, Hisiyê, Til Medîq, Herbel, Til Rifeet, Şêx Îsa, El-Werdiyê, Hesacik, Ayn Daqne, Minigê and surroundings of the Tishrîn Dam were targeted. The attacks focused mainly on Til Medîq and Qol Sirûc villages.

In the meantime, Jaysh al-Thuwar forces strongly responded to the attacks and inflicted blows on the gangs. According to Jaysh al-Thuwar sources, 4 members of the gangs were killed in Shehba, and 11 others were wounded in Hisiyê and Simoqê villages.

It grabs attention that the intensified attacks of the gangs came following the Turkish aerial attack on Rojava and Shengal.
