The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria announced that ISIS cells launched attacks in Til Hemis and Til Berak.
The General Command of Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria issued a written statement regarding the ISIS attacks in Til Hemis and Til Berak in Cizre Canton. Accordingly, one ISIS member was killed and his weapons were confiscated.
The statement on Tuesday said the following:
“Taking advantage of the continuous attacks by the occupying Turkish state, ISIS mercenaries have increased their attacks in North and East Syria. While our teams were conducting their regular patrol activities in Til Hemis city, a member of an ISIS cell on a motorcycle opened fire at our teams. The immediate response by our units resulted in the elimination of the ISIS member.
The mercenary was found to be in possession of 4 grenades, first aid supplies, a Kalashnikov rifle, a 9mm pistol, an assault vest with 4 loaded magazines, 1 handcuff, narcotics and 1,900 dollars in cash.
On the other hand, ISIS cells launched an attack on our checkpoint in Til Berak city of Cizre Canton. Our forces immediately responded to the attack without any casualties and the terrorists fled the scene. As of now, our forces have taken control of the entire region.
As Internal Security Forces, we reiterate our pledge to ensure the security and peace of the region from terrorist threats.”
