Iranian regime tortures and murders another young Kurd

The Iranian regime has tortured and murdered another young Kurd who had been detained for participating in the protests in the country. The young man named Kiyanûş Zendî who was held in the Sinê Prison was tortured and murdered.

Another protester who had been detained during the popular protests against poverty and the oppressive policies of the regime in Iran and Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan) on December 28, 2017 has been killed.

The young Kurdish man named Kiyanûş Zendî who had been detained for participating in protests in Sinê was killed during torture in the Sinê Prison.

The page titled Înkilabî Rojava (Rojava Revolution) that broadcasts over Telegram from Rojhilat reported that Itlaat (Iranian intelligence) officials informed Kiyanûş Zendî’s parents that he had “committed suicide” last night.

Another Kurdish man named Saro Qehremanî (24) had been killed during torture in the Sinê Prison yesterday. 26 years old Ali Puladi had also been killed in the Chalus Prison in the Mazenderan province to the north of Iran.

According to official numbers, in protests throughout Iran that started on December 28, 2017, 22 people lost their lives and over 2000 people had been detained.

News about tortured detainees have increased in recent days while news about deaths due to torture keep coming in from various provinces throughout the country. In the last 10 days, 7 people have been reportedly killed during torture.

Sîna Qenberi (23) was killed in the Evin Prison and Mihmed Haydari (22) in the Erak Prison in Tehran and Mohsen Edelî (26) was killed in the Dezful Prison in Ahwaz. The young men have been tortured and killed because they participated in the protests.

Meanwhile, in a statement to the Iran International television, prominent Iranian human rights defender Nesrîn Stûda had stated that two young men had been killed in prison during torture.
