Iranian regime sentences two Kurdish political prisoners to death

Kurdish political prisoners Diyako Resulzade and Sabîr Şêx Ebdullah have been sentenced to death by the Iranian regime.

The Urmia department of the Islamic Revolutionary Court issued death sentence for Kurdish political prisoners Diyako Resulzade and Sabîr Şêx Ebdullah on alleged charges of “enmity against God” and “membership to Kurdish parties”.

Resulzade and Ebdullah had been detained alongside a person by the name of Hesen Osmani, in Mahabad, in 2015. All the three were given death sentence after two days under custody. The penalty for Hesen Osmani was revoked one day later, while the case files of Resulzade and Ebdullah were referred to the Urmia department of the Islamic Revolutionary Court.

During a trial held yesterday, the court upheld the death penalty for two Kurdish prisoners.
