Iranian forces arrest seven Kurdish civilians

Iranian regime continues the wave of arrests targeting Kurdish civilians and activists.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported that Iranian forces have arrested at least seven Kurdish civilians in Divandarreh and Marivan, Kurdistan Province, and Gilan-e Gharb, Kermanshah Province, in recent days, continuing the recent wave of arrests targeting Kurdish civilians and activists.

On 19 September, security forces arrested Khalil Asghari without a warrant at his workplace in Divandarreh.

On 17 September, Salah Fathi was arrested in the village of Rashidabad, and Mani Mohammadi in the village of Tabriz Khatun.

The day before, security forces also arrested Amanj Ahmadi and 16-year-old Pouria Hosseini in Rashidabad.

Hossein Fattahi, a Kurdish civilian from Gilan-e Gharb, was also detained on 19 September by agents of the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on 19 September.

Additionally, a Kurdish man known as Zahed, whose surname has not been confirmed, was detained in his orchard in the village of Rasheh Deh in Marivan, in recent days.

None of the detainees have been heard from since their arrest, the KHRN said.

Over the past two weeks, at least 32 Kurdish civilians and activists have been arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence and the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the cities of Mahabad, Oshnavieh, Piranshahr, Divandarreh, Dehgolan, Marivan, Sarvabad, Bukan, Baneh and Gilan-e Gharb.
