People's Defence Forces (HPG) press and communication center has issued a written statement related to increasingly ongoing military activity of the Turkish army against guerrilla areas.

The statement has indicated followings:

Mobility of Turkish army's warplanes took place over Şehit Rahime, Şukê areas of Avaşin region of Media Defence Zones border line between 15.00 and 17.30 on May 5. Also unmanned aerial vehicles performed intensive reconnaissance flights over the same areas between 15.00 and 16.30 yesterday and between 08.00 and 12.00 today.

Turkish army carried out an intensive bombardment with howitzer and mortar on the areas between Oremar guardhouse, Cilo and Şukê between 13.30 and 14.30 on May 5 and between 07.00 and 08.00 on May 6.

Turkish army's unmanned aerial vehicles performed intensive reconnaissance flights over Heftanin border line of Media Defence Zones and Kato Silê area between 05.00 on May 3 and 23.00 on May 5. Mobility of Turkish army's unmanned aerial vehicles and warplanes took place periodically over the areas between Heftanin and Şırnak province between 15.00 on May 5 and 08.00 on May 6 (today).

Soldiers deployed at guardhouses located on the border line and on the Turkish army controlled-Hill Çete and Hill Vacip striked Şehit Şexmus and Deryê Davetîya areas between 15.30 and 17.30 on May 5.

An activity by Turkish warplanes and unmanned aerial vehicles took place also over Metina area of Media Defence Zones and the border line between 15.00 and 21.00 on May 5. 

While unmanned aerial vehicles performed reconnaissance flights over Zap region border line and Çîyayê Reş areas between 21.00 and 00.00, warplanes mobility took place over the same area between 15.00 and 16.00 on May 5.

Unmanned aerial vehicles performed reconnaissance flights over Şehit Hesen area between Bingol and Dersim provinces between 13.00 and 17.00 on May 5 and over the rural areas of Şırnak province between 16.30 and 17.30.

Turkish army made intensive military deployment to Lice district of Amed province and Hega Sor guardhouse in Hani district between 10.00 and 15.00 on May 5.

Turkish soldiers carried out surveillance after blocking the Farqin dam road between 18.00 and 19.30 on May 4, and laid ambushes there with the support of armored vehicles between 20.00 and 00.00, as well as in the territory of Farqin dam road and of Ferhendê triangle between 19.00 and 23.00.

Ambushes were also laid intensively around Karaçoban, Hınıs, Karayazı districts of Erzurum province and Malazgirt district of Muş province for a week.

An intense activity by Turkish army's Scorsky helicopters took place over Çemçê area of Kağızman district of Kars province at 10.00 on May 5.

The helicopters flew from the area after guerrillas opened a warning fire into the air.

Mobility by Cobra and Scorsky helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles took place also over Kirê Kor area of Iğdır province between 16.00 on May 5 and 05.00 on May 6.
