Hunger striker Yagiz has trouble speaking

The hunger strikes are held in the Hewler Representation Office of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP).

Nasir Yagiz, who has been on a hunger strike for 91 days to protest the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan, is having trouble speaking.

On the 91st day of Nasir Yagiz’s hunger strike, the 46th group took over the alternating hunger strike held in parallel in Hewler, Southern Kurdistan.

The hunger strikes are held in the Hewler Representation Office of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP).

HDP Hewler Representative Muzeyen Gunes spoke during the turnover of the hunger strike and said: “The hunger strike in Hewler has continued for 91 days. We will continue this protest until the isolation impose upon Mr. Ocalan is ended.”

Gunes said Nasir Yagiz’s health is not well as he continues his indefinite non-alternating hunger strike and added: “Yagiz gets worse every day. He is having trouble sleeping and speaking.”

Gunes also said, “Before the hunger strikers get even worse, all should take action against the isolation.”
