People’s Defence Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported that the military activity of the Turkish army continued incessantly.

HPG provided the following information regarding the military activities against the guerrilla controlled zones that took place in the last two days:

• On 22 April, at 14:30 - 15:00, Turkish soldiers opened random fire around from the Mamreş military post in Şemdinli district of Hakkari.

• A troop of 30 soldiers have been moving secretly and carrying out operations in 2 groups in the area between Mamreş, Berox and Serekani in the Şemdinli district of Hakkari since 19 April.

• Turkish troops have been deployed on a hill near Girana military post and started forming new emplacements.

• On 22 April at 14:30 - 16:00, Turkish warplanes carried out flights over Adilbeg area.

• On 23 April at 03:00-4:00, drone activities took place over Heftanin and Marytr Kendal areas of Medya Defence Zones. On the same day at 08:00 - 09:00, Turkish troops opened mortar fires from Çete Hill on Tepe Kêlik area.

• Since 21 April, Turkish soldiers have been laying ambushes in the area between Bingöl and Kızılağaç village of Karlıova district and between Xelîkan and Kızılagaç villages. Moreover, ambushes have also been laid around Hamamlar village of Bingöl and on the road between Karlıova and Bingöl with the support of armoured vehicles.

• New military units have been deployed in Kara Cehennem Forests and the hills overlooking the area.

• On 22 April at 14:00, the Turkish military forces carried out an operation on a hill between Licok and Qamberhan villages of Lice district of Amed. The operation which was carried out for reconnaissance purpose was ended at 16:00.

• On 22 April at 13:00 - 14:00 Turkish warplanes carried out flights over Zap region border area and Çiyayê Reş area of the Medya Defence Zones. Over the same areas, intense reconnaissance flights took place between 22:00 on 22 April and 03:00 on 23 April.

• On 22 April, between 11:00- 11:30 drone activity took place over Avdil Kovî and Gelîyê Reş areas in Xaxurke region of Medya Defence Zones.
