People’s Defence Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported in today’s statement that Turkish troops carried out an operation in the rural areas of Hesenpaşa, Kanîkorkê and Karsevin villages of Malazgirt district of Muş on June 16. While the operation was retreated the same day without obtaining any results, an activity of Sikorksy type helicopters and reconnaissance flights also took place over the operation area within the same day.

The statement reported that a group of village guards have been laying ambushes in the Kêleka village of Muradiye district of Van.

HPG stressed in its statement that Turkish air forces continue to carry out reconnaissance flights over guerrilla controlled areas. According to the statement, Turkish unmanned air vehicles carried out reconnaissance flights over the following guerrilla areas;

-Xakurke and Xınerê area of Medya Defence Zones at between 17:00 on 17 July and 07:00 on 18 July,

- Xınerê area at between 11:30 - 15:30 on 18 July,

-Çarçella area at between 09:30 - 14:00 on 18 July and at between 10:00 - 13:00 on 19 July,

-Avashin area at between 02:00 - 15:00 on 18 July,

-Zap region at between 11:00 - 15:30 on 18 July and at between 03:00 - 13:00 on 19 July.
