HPG reports intensive ambush activities by the Turkish army

HPG stated the Turkish Army forces continue ambush and reconnaissance activities, giving the following details:

The Turkish army's unmanned aerial vehicles performed reconnaissance flights over Şemzinan area of Hakkari province between 13.00 on May 19 and 03.00 on May 20 (today). The aerial activities have continued increasingly.

- Xakurke area between 12.30 and 16.00 on 19 May,

- Tabura Ereba area located on Avaşin area border line between 17.00 on 19 may and 12.00 on 20 May,

- Şukê area during the last four days,

- Zozanê Avaşin, Werxelê, Ertuş, Ciloyê Piçuk and Tepê Karker areas located on Zap region border line between 19.00 and 23.00 on May 19,

- Besta area of Şırnak province between midday of May 18 and 07.30 on May 20,

- Şehitlik area of Varto district of Muş province between 19.00 and 00.00 on May 19.

While the Turkish army continues ambush activities around the dam construction area in Farqin district of Amed between 20.00 and 03.00 everyday, armored vehicles of the Turkish army patrol in the area by taking intensive security measures in the morning hours.

According to the statement, Turkish army laid ambushes in Çaylar, Tatan and Alangot areas of Varto district of Muş and around Abdurrahman Paşa Guardhouse between 19.00 on May 19 and 05.00 on May 20.

HPG reported that village guards have been deployed in strategic places between Sêwik and Kürt Ali villages of Eleşkirt district of Ağrı province for the last 10 days.

HGP statement added that Turkish army has laid ambushes by armored vehicles and military intelligence units on the Pak road of Dersim province for a week now.
