HPG reports bombardment and activity by Turkish army

Pointing to the increasingly ongoing aerial activity over guerrilla zones, HPG said that UAVs of the Turkish army carried out reconnaissance flights over Avashin area of Medya Defense Zones from 5 am yesterday till today noon, over Kashura area at Metina border between 4-5 am today, and over Zap region and border line between 5-10 am yesterday. An activity of Turkish warplanes also took place over Kashura between 22:00-22:30 yesterday.

According to the statement, intense reconnaissance flights were also performed over Martyr Serxwebun and Martyr Ferhat areas between 00:00 - 03:00 today, over Martyr Kendal area between 18:00 - 23:30, and over Apê Musa area between 21:00 – 01:00 yesterday.

Turkish helicopters also performed flights over Apê Musa area between 13:00 - 00:00 on April 26.

HPG remarked that Turkish troops have on the other hand made an intense shipment at Farqin (Silvan) district centre and Farqin dam, enhanced military presence on this road while village guards set up security points around the Hill Îlon in Farqin district as of 25 April.

The statement noted that Turkish army also made intense shipment from Bingöl city center to the Suveren, Gap and Uçur guard posts in Genç district as of 25 April.

HPG added that Turkish troops deployed at Maymun and Gülyazı guard posts at the border to Heftanin carried out a bombardment between 11:30 – 12:30 today, in which Martyr Kendal area of Medya Defense Zones was targeted with howitzer and mortar attacks.
