HPG reports actions by guerrillas in Amed and Mardin

The statement said HPG guerrillas conducted a sabotage action against an armored vehicle of the Turkish military in Dargeçit (Kerboran) district of Mardin at 07:30 this morning. While the vehicle was damaged, the number of casualties couldn't be verified.

Another sabotage action by guerrillas targeted a camp of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation in Kocaköy (Karaz) district of Amed yesterday. An oil well, well pump, petrol tank, treatment system and generator was destroyed in the action.

Guerrillas on the other hand blocked the Amed-Bingöl highway and performed ID check between 05.00 – 09.00 yesterday morning. Guerrillas also informed the people about the current process and destroyed a car of a private company working with the AKP government.

HPG continued by providing details regarding the ongoing attacks by Turkish military against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory. Accordingly Turkish troops conducted the following attacks with howitzer and mortar fire;

- Hill Maymun outpost in the border area of Şırnak's Uludere district shelled Mrtyr Renas area of Heftanin between 09.30 – 12.00 yesterday.

- Aruş outpost in the border area of Şırnak's Uludere district shelled Hill Martyr Dilber in Metina between 22:30 and 01:00 last night.

- Zeytê outpost at the border to Avashin shelled Zeytê valley between 17.00 – 17.30 yesterday.

- Eriş outpost in Hakkari's Çukurca district shelled Hill Xeregol in Zap between 00.00 - 01.00 last night.

HPG also reported Turkish reconnaissance activity over Garê area between 09.00 - 19.00 yesterday.
