HPG (People's Defence Forces) Press and Communication Center issued a written statement regarding the uninterruptedly ongoing military activities of the Turkish army.

The HPG statement said that an activity by Turkish army's warplanes took place over Xakurke area in Media Defence Zones between 21.00 and 23.00 on May 28 and between 22.00 and 23.00 on May 27. These aerial mobilities continued increasingly over our guerilla areas.

According to the statement, Turkish army's Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) performed reconnaissance flights over

- Xakurke area between 22.00 and 00.00 on May 27,

- Xinêrê area between 21.30 on May 28 and 04.30 on May 29 (today),

- Çîyayê Reş, Şehitlik and Zap suyu areas of Zap region from 00.00 to 04.00 and from 05.00 to 06.00 on May 29.

Mobility by Turkish army's warplanes also took place over Çîyayê Reş area between 00.00 and 01.00 on May 29.

RANDOM ATTACKS AND BOMBARDMENT

HPG reported that Turkish troops conducted random attacks by howitzer, mortar and A-4 heavy weapons on areas around Oremar guardhouse in Yüksekova district of Hakkari province between 10.00 and 12.00 on May 28. In the same day the Turkish troops deployed at Oremar guardhouse attacked the Şehit (Martyr) Gafur area located on border line of Avashin region of the guerrilla-controlled Medya Defense Zones at 16.30.

INTENSIVE MILITARY DEPLOYMENT

Recalling their previous statements that the Turkish army had deployed on six small hills located at Şehit Kendal area in Heftanin region of Media Defence Zones, HPG said that 150 Turkish soldiers from Gülyazı Artillary Regiment were also deployed in Şehit Kendal area at 07.00 on May 27.The Turkish army now taking position on another hill has increased its military activities in the area.

While the Turkish troops deployed at Maymun hill guardhouse on border line of Heftanin area bombarded Şehit Welat area by tanks at 13.30 on May 27, Şehit Kendal area was bombarded by mortar and howitzer between 15.00 and 16.00, HPG statement reported.

HOWITZER ATTACK IN AMED PROVINCE

According to the statement, Turkish army bombarded Cum hill in Lice district of Amed by howitzer, mortar and A-4 weapons between 13.30 and 15.00 on May 28.

Turkish troops that laid ambushes on the way of Tatan village in Varto district of Muş province between 19.30 and 23.30 on May 28, also performed identity card check by stopping cars.

The statement added that Turkish army's UAVs performed reconnaissance flights over

- Gordê area in Tendürek district of Ağrı province at 09.30 on May 29,

- Gewro area in Şehit Cemil area of Iğdır province between 09.30 and 12.00 on May 29,

- Şehit Cemil area of Iğdır between 07.30 and 21.30 on May 28.
