People's Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM reported heavy clashes between guerrillas and Turkish troops in Oremar region of Hakkari's Yüksekova district.

According to the HPG statement, 4 soldiers of the Turkish army were killed as guerrillas conducted a sabotage action against the Turkish troops that attempted to enter Martyr Bager area at the border to Avashin region of PKK-held Medya Defense Zones at 06:00 yesterday.

11 other soldiers were killed as guerrillas hit the Turkish troops from three sides. The Turkish army removed the casualties from the area with Sikorsky helicopters.

HPG guerrilla by the name of Çeşid Şaboyi (Azad Jiyan), from Maku city of East Kurdistan, died after suffering a serious injury during the clashes that lasted till 18:30 in the evening.

While Turkish forces shelled the areas of Martyr Rahime, Martyr Afat and Martyr Gafur with howitzer and mortar fire as well as cluster bombs, the terrain was also bombed by Turkish jets.

ONE SOLDIER KILLED IN KARATAŞ GUARD POST

One soldier of the Turkish army was killed as a result of an assassination action conducted by guerrillas against the Karataş guard post at the border to Zap region of Medya Defense Zones at 11:30 on October 3rd.

ACTION AGAINST GIRÊ GUARD POST

Guerrillas conducted an action with heavy weapons which targeted the Girê guard post at the borderline of Hakkari's Çukurca district yesterday. While the results of the action couldn't be made clear, troops at the post shelled the surrounding areas after the action.

ONE SOLDIER KILLED IN ÇUKURCA

Another action by guerrillas targeted the Serê Sevê guard post at the borderline of Çukurca yesterday afternoon, which left one soldier dead. Troops at the post shelled the areas of Latê Kewa and Dıtaza village after the action.

HPG also reported another action by guerrillas that targeted the Bilican guard post this morning, the results of which couldn't be verified.

Regarding the ongoing bombardments and aerial activities of the Turkish military, HPG provided the following details;

Turkish jets shelled Gabar and Çırav areas of Botan region between 18.00 – 19.00 yesterday.

Zivingê, TRT Gabar and Gırê Cotyar brigades shelled Hill Gundikê Şêx between 9 p.m. yesterday and 2 a.m. Today. HPG also reported an intense reconnaissance activity over the same area for the past 7 days.

Troops at Serbesta guard post at Metina border shelled Hill Kure Şino between 10.00 – 11.30 yesterday.

Troops at Aruş guard post shelled Martyr Dilber and Hill Kure Şino between 12.00 – 17.00 yesterday and 04.30 – 06.30 today.

Troops at Bilican guard post at Zap border shelled Hill Çete area between 09.00 - 09.30 yesterday.

Troops at Hill Ortê, Serê Sevê and Eriş guard posts shelled Nerwe village and Hill Sor areas between 17.30 – 21.00 yesterday.

Troops at Hill Sivri guard post at Avashin border shelled Hill Martyr Silêyman, Hill Sor and Bêdewê areas between 12.00 – 13.00 yesterday.

Troops at Grana guard post shelled Mergê area with howitzer and mortar fire between 13.00 – 14.00 yesterday.

HPG further reported reconnaissance activity by Turkish UAVs over the following areas of Medya Defense Zones;

Garê area between 09.00 – 10.00 and 13.00 – 16.00 yesterday, and between 00.00 – 07.00 today,

Zap region between 07.00 - 15.00 yesterday,

Metina area between 02.00 – 04.30 today.

HPG also reported an activity of Turkish jets over;

Zap region between 10.00 – 15.30 yesterday and between 21.00 yesterday and 02:30 today,

Garê area from 01.00 last night to morning hours today.
