HPG: 6 soldiers killed, 4 others wounded in Serhat region

Guerrillas hit Turkish troops in Serhat region of North Kurdistan, leaving 6 soldiers dead and 4 others wounded.

The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a statement announcing the details of the latest operations carried out by guerrillas against Turkish troops in Serhat region of North Kurdistan as part of the ‘Revolutionary Victory Campaign’ ongoing in the region. Guerrillas also targeted Turkish soldiers in Xakurke region in South Kurdistan.

IĞDIR

At 07:00 on April 1st, guerrillas targeted the soldiers stationed on the security hill of the Korxan outpost in Aralık district of Iğdır province. Effective strikes from four sides left 4 soldiers dead and 2 others wounded, who were later retrieved by the Turkish army in armored vehicles.

AĞRI

At 10:00 on April 2nd, guerrillas hit the soldiers at Vedat Özkaya outpost in Bazid (Doğubeyazıt) district of Ağrı, as a result of which 2 soldiers were killed. The involved guerrilla unit returned to their base safely.

XAKURKE

As part of the ‘Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Campaign’, guerrillas hit Turkish soldiers stationed on Hill Martyr Axin in Xakurke region of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq. It could not be determined how many soldiers were killed or wounded in this action which was carried out at 08:45 on April 2nd.
