Heavy blow to gangs in Cizîr: 63 dead

The YPG Press Centre statement said:
“Operations are continuing operations against the ISIS threat on the western borders of Cizîr Canton.”
The statement said that the gangs launched an attack last night on the village of Nusret, that had been liberated the previous day. “After fierce clashes at close quarters the attack was repulsed and at least 6 gang members were killed while one comrade made the ultimate sacrifice.”
The statement said there had also been clashes yesterday in the villages of Aşra and Mecdel. After intense fighting 22 gang members were killed in Aşra and 16 in Mecdel. 3 YPG fighters also died in these clashes.
The YPG Press Centre also said gangs had launched an attack on the recently liberated villages of Qeşqa and Hêla on 6 May, which was repulsed by YPG forces. During this attack two YPG fighters made the ultimate sacrifice.
Gang attacks repulsed in Serêkaniyê
The YPG Press Centre reported that gangs had also attacked the strategic Til Boxa hill 24 km to the southwest of Serêkaniyê in an attempt to take it. The attack was repulsed and 17 gang members were killed.
Two ISIS members killed in Til Hemis
The YPG statement said there was also a clash to the south of Til Hemis last night, in which 2 gang members were killed.
