Guerrillas hit Turkish troops in Heftanin and Mardin

Three soldiers of the Turkish army were killed during guerrilla actions in Heftanin and Mardin.

The Press Office of People's Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement announcing the details of latest actions carried out by guerrillas against the Turkish occupation forces in Kurdistan territory. Accordingly, three soldiers were killed in Heftanin region of South Kurdistan and Mardin region of North Kurdistan. On the other hand, three guerrilla fighters were martyred in an air raid of the Turkish army in the Qandil region on Wednesday.

One soldier killed in Heftanin

According to the statement, a soldier of the Turkish army was killed on April 12 during a guerilla action on Hill Konferansa Mezin in Heftanin region. The Turkish state has been trying for some time to occupy the region in the Medya Defense Zones, but the HPG and YJA-Star are taking an offensive against it.

Sabotage at Mount Bagok

In the area of Şehîd Mervan on Mount Bagok in Mardin countryside, the Turkish army has installed cameras to capture guerrilla movements. The area was then monitored by the guerrillas for a long period of time. On April 6, a Turkish military unit entered the area and was targeted by a sabotage action by the HPG.  Two soldiers were killed and two others injured during the action. The dead and injured were transported away in military helicopters, and the guerrilla group involved was able to retreat without losses.

Three guerrillas fell in Zinê Wertê

On April 15, Turkish fighter jets again bombed the Zinê Wertê area in the Qandil region between 11.30 and 12.30 hours. Three guerrilla fighters were martyred in the air raid. The press office of the HPG said that the names of the martyrs would be announced at a later date.

Another airstrike by the Turkish army took place yesterday in the Kunîşka area in the Zap region. There were no losses for HPG.
