Guerrilla Fuat Apocî, a part of the epic Zap resistance

Guerrilla Fuat Apocî, who put up historic resistance in many actions and was part of the epic resistance in Zap, became an example to all Kurdish youth with his self-sacrificing stance and struggle.

When do parents see their children as successful? When are they proud of them? How can a mother's heart be so strong that she buries her child before herself? Undoubtedly, these are noble and patriotic Kurdish mothers. Moxtar Konepoşî (Fuat Apocî), the son of such a noble and patriotic mother, followed in the footsteps of his 2 brothers who were martyred in the Kurdistan revolution.

Moxtar Konepoşî was born in 1990 in Merîvan, Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan, Iran), into a patriotic family committed to the values of Kurdistan. Family members have always tried to fulfil their patriotic duties successfully by participating in the revolutionary work of Kurdistan.

Moxtar Koneposhi heard about the martyrdom of his older brother at a young age. This left a deep impression on his heart, which had not yet experienced sad feelings. When his mother told him about the goals of the Kurdistan fighters, Moxtar was moved as if he was listening to a heroic story. As the Apoist movement became more and more popular in Rojhilat, Moxtar Koneposhi's family got to know the PKK. After the martyrdom of his older brother Farhad Pepûle in a clash with Iranian forces, Moxtar began to search for a life worthy of his brothers.

He considered the struggle of his brothers as a task to be completed. After his uncle's son joined the guerrilla, he now knew that he too must become an Egid of Kurdistan like them. Moxtar, who had known the Freedom Movement since his childhood, took part in the militia work for several years without interruption. After a while, he realised that he had to carry the weapons of his brothers. In 2015, when there were intense attacks against the Kurdish people and the Freedom Movement, he decided to join the guerrilla ranks in order to respond to the genocide policies. After his participation in the guerrilla struggle, he took the name Fuat Apocî in his new life.

Guerrilla Fuat, who deepened in Rêber Apo's philosophy with the trainings he received and endeavoured to shape his personality in line with this philosophy, was based on fighting for the freedom of all oppressed peoples. Impressed by the bond of comradeship of young male and female guerrillas fighting for the land of Kurdistan, he was aware that this life was built thanks to the ideas of Rêber Apo (Leader Abdullah Öcalan). Comrade Fuat trained himself to be successful in the war against the enemy and to specialise in the new era guerrilla tactics. With only goal being to destroy the enemies tearing his country apart, he was now ready to go to the battlefield.

Guerrilla Fuat, one of the fighters who come to the minds of his comrades when they think of comradeship, sacrifice and courage, stood up for his comrades in the most difficult conditions, sharing a drop of water and a morsel of bread with them. He once again showed how deep and real the bond of comradeship in PKK life is. Having worked in many different areas of Kurdistan as a guerrilla fighter, he fulfilled his duty in every work he took part in. The guerrilla Fuat set an example to his comrades with his labour and sacrifice, aware that the attacks of the Turkish state against the Kurdish people and the Freedom Movement were carried out for the purpose of genocide. With the beginning of the enemy attacks on the Medya Defence Zones, he took action to be a part of the epic resistance.

Taking part in the resistance positions against the enemy with great determination, he expressed his goal with the following words: ‘My goal and aim is to achieve success, I have never set any goal other than success. Success is possible through the liberation of the leader, our people and the elimination of the enemy and traitors from these lands.’ The guerrilla Fuat, who gained experience in both ideological and military fields, also stood with great courage against the invasion attacks launched in 2021 and made the enemy pay a heavy price. He also took part in the Cehennem Hill action on the Zap front, where great blows were dealt to the Turkish army, infiltrating into the tents of the enemy soldiers. Putting up historic resistance in many actions, comrade Fuat was martyred on 11 June 2022 as a result of an attack by the invading and genocidal enemy while on duty. Guerrilla Fuat Apocî, one of the examples of Apoist militancy with his self-sacrificing stance, became an example to all Kurdish youth, especially the youth of Rojhilat, with his struggle and resistance.
