The Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan Committee is planning to launch a major campaign for the physical freedom of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) in the coming days.

The Committee said that hundreds of Kurdish intellectuals, lecturers, academics, artists, journalists and activists will participate in the campaign.

It is reported that preparations for the campaign have been going on for a long time.
