Footage from guerrilla intervention forcing Turkish helicopters to retreat in Gare

Guerrillas targeted 7 Turkish military helicopters that attempted to airdrop soldiers in the Siyane area of the Gare region in Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq).

During the Turkish state’s ongoing invasion operation in the Gare area of guerrilla held Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan, 7 helicopters of the Turkish army attempted to get to the Siyane area at around 22:20 on Friday.

The intervention of guerrillas forced the helicopters to retreat from the area without completing the mission of airdropping troops in the embattled area.

ANF has obtained footage from the intervention of the guerrillas as helicopters attempted to airdrop soldiers.

In a statement published earlier today, the press office of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) said; “On February 12, at 10:20 p.m., the occupiers tried to enter the Siyanê area with seven helicopters. After the intervention of our forces, the helicopters had to move away from the area.”
