As the condition of the wounded people who had waited in the basement of savagery in Cizre for days remains unknown after the recent attack of state forces, families of wounded civilians Yakup Yalçın, Berjin Demirkaya and Hasan Tağ still wait for information on the massacre. Families called upon Kurdish people to rise up against the massacre and promised to continue the struggle of their children.
YALÇIN: WE WON’T KNEEL DOWN TO BRUTALITY, WE WILL RESIST
Nihat Yalçın, brother of Yakup Yalçın, stated that the families would not kneel down to brutality and continue to resist the savagery of AKP gangs. Yalçın noted that the AKP could no longer speak of Islam since its savagery defies all religions. Yalçın said that their only option now was to resist, as Kurdish people have been resisting for centuries. Yalçın stated that they did not know if his brother was dead or alive, and the families would continue Yakup’s struggle from where he left off.
DEMİRKAYA: ERDOĞAN IS THE MURDERER OF KURDISH PEOPLE
Mevlüt Demirkaya, father of Berjin Demirkaya, described the Turkish president Tayyip Erdoğan as the murderer of Kurdish people waging a war for his own benefit. Demirkaya noted that his children did not kneel down before AKP’s brutality, and the families would continue their children’s struggle.
TAĞ: WE WILL STRUGGLE AT ANY COST
Hamidiye Tağ, the wife of Hasan Tağ, said that her husband and his family were in Cudi neighborhood at the time of the massacre, and she did not know if they were dead or alive. Tağ said that she had lastly spoken to her husband 19 days ago, and he told her that the basement was full of wounded and dead bodies. Tağ stated that the only option families had now was to bring the massacre’s perpetrators to justice, and the families would struggle from now on at any cost.
