Crisis Desk has been formed to provide assistance to the families of basement victims has released a statement regarding the identification of dozens massacred by state forces in Şırnak's Cizre town.
Crisis Desk formed by Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, DBP, MEYADER and Mesopotamia Lawyers' Assocition for assistance to families of basement victims has released a statement regarding the identification of dozens massacred by state forces in Şırnak's Cizre town.
The statement said; “Nearly 100 people have been massacred savagely in the mass murders committed in Cizre. Bodies of the slain people are undergoing autopsy in Mardin, Urfa, Şırnak and Silopi at the moment. After the finalization of autopsy procedures, bodies will be sent back to Cizre. There are a total of 84 corpses retrieved by now; 7 in Mardin, 28 in Urfa, 13 in Şırnak and 36 in Silopi.”
The statement said two of the corpses in Urfa were identified as Sultan Irmak and Fehmi Dinç as a result of post-mortem examination, while it is not possible to identify the other corpses.
The Crisis Desk noted that DNA samples will be taken in Mardin and Silopi, and called on families of victims to get into contact with their side for the realization of these procedures.
60 families have applied to the Crisis Desk since its formation yesterday.
