Clashes and actions continue in Zap region

The actions of guerrilla forces continue against the invasion attempts by the Turkish army on the Zap region in Southern Kurdistan.

Clashes continue along the border line in Hakkari’s Çukurca district between the Turkish army and the guerrilla forces. The guerrillas retaliate Turkey’s attempts to invade parts of the Zap region in Southern Kurdistan.

According to ANF reporters in the region, a series of actions were carried out against the Turkish army yesterday evening. The guerrillas retaliated the Turkish army attempting to deploy soldiers in Çukurca’s Kinyaniş village. Turkish soldiers were hit from 3 sides in the Xeyri area in the same region. 4 Turkish soldiers were killed here and many others were wounded. The dead and wounded soldiers were picked up by a Sikorsky helicopter at 22.00.

One soldier died in the explosive trap set against the Turkish army in the Martyr Munzur area in Southern Kurdistan territory. One other soldier was killed in an assassination in the same area.

In the action carried out against the Turkish soldiers in Martyr Munzur and the back of Bijne village, 2 soldiers were killed.

Meanwhile, casualties from the soldiers were reported in the action carried out on the army outpost hill in the Rezan village in Hakkari’s Gever district, but there was no concrete information on the outcome.
