Civilians reportedly executed by state forces while leaving İdil

In İdil district of Şırnak where a state of siege continues for 21 days, reports are coming through that 13 civilians were executed by state forces deployed in the town.

Yesterday, state forces retrieved the bodies of 10 slain people from Turgut Özal neighborhood amid intensified attacks, and later delivered them on tractor to İdil State Hospital. Turkish armored vehicles played racist songs and anthems as they accompanied the tractor to the hospital.

Earlier yesterday, bodies were found of three people killed by state forces in the area between the villages of Kuyulu and Dirsekli which similarly remains under a curfew for 3 weeks. These corpses were also taken to İdil State Hospital.

HDP Şırnak deputy Ferhat Encü, who himself is in the town, stated the followings regarding the 13 people killed in İdil; "Some of them were murdered in the neighborhoods under siege, and some others while leaving the town. They are all civilians and local youths living in İdil. They were most likely executed without engaging in a clash."

Encü noted that bodies of 13 people were sent to Malatya Forensic Medicine Institution; 7 yesterday evening and 6 others this morning.
