ISIS gangs have attempted a major attack with an explosive-laden vehicle against a YPG checkpoint in Kobanê town of West Kurdistan.

The bomb attack in Kobanê was carried out concurrently with the one in Suruç which targeted the socialist youths who gathered there before crossing into Kobanê today, leaving dozens dead or wounded.

According to initial reports, the bomb attack in Kobanê targeted a checkpoint of the YPG near the Mihemed Dirra School to the south of the city.

YPG fighters destroyed the explosive-laden vehicle soon after noticing the attempt.
