Blow inflicted on ISIS gangs in Sinjar

People’s Defence Forces (HPG) Sinjar Command and Sinjar Resistance Units (YBŞ) General Command said in a joint statement that forces of resistance inflicted heavy blows on the ISIS gangs by killing of large number of their members in the ongoing fighting in Sinjar town of South Kurdistan.
The statement reported that an effective operation was carried out against a vehicle of the gang groups on the way in Sinjar on 9 May, while the exact number of ISIS casualties could not be clarified.
On 10 May, said the statement, an activity of the gangs took place in a hamlet in the western part of the town, against which the guerrilla forces immediately responded, destroying 2 vehicles with the gang members in and damaging another one. At least 4 gang members were killed in the action, while the number of casualties is likely to be higher, noted the Commands.
The statement of the joint forces further reported that the guerrillas carried out targeted attacks on the gangs in Xeyr Nasır neighbourhood at 17:30 and in Sitti Zeynep neighbourhood at 21: 30 on 10 May, leaving 2 gang members dead.
