Anti-government protests continue in Rania

Anti-government protests continue in Rania, Southern Kurdistan for the fourth day.

Demonstrations in protest at the government continue for four uninterrupted days in Rania district of Sulaymaniyah.

Asayish (public security) forces have repeatedly opened fire on demonstrators in an effort to disperse them but protests continued throughout the day despite all the attacks and interventions of asayish. People state that their demonstrations against the government’s policies will not end.

Six people were killed, 103 others were wounded and many were arrested during the past four days of mass street demonstrations across Southern Kurdistan.
